Summary

Provides innovative leadership to maximize the operational performance of the Women's Health Center. Responsibilities include maintaining positive and effective relationships with the radiologists staffing the Center and referring physicians; stewardship of the human, financial, and capital resources of the Center; strategic planning: and assurance of compliance with all legal, regulatory, and accreditation requirements.

Is a member of the hospital's administrative staff, and therefore participates in organization-wide governance, policy formulation, community relations, and philanthropic activities, and may be involved in corporate matters at the request of leadership.

Responsibilities

ØProvides leadership by example. Role models expected behaviors at all times.

ØConducts business in an ethical manner, and adheres to the Baptist standards of conduct.

ØCrafts the strategic direction for the Center.Translates the direction into concrete operating plans with goals and metrics that can be used to document progress.

ØProvides oversight to the Center's human resource functions to include role definition, recruitment and retention, physician and employee relations, staff engagement and satisfaction, performance management, wage and salary administration, and productivity measurement.

ØConsistently presents a direct, open, and forthright manner that encourages engagement by staff and peers, and creates a comfortable work environment that facilitates the free, safe, and candid exchange of ideas and opinions.

ØRoutinely practices in a collaborative manner engaging and often leading in situations requiring teamwork, consensus building, and group dynamics .Engages promptly in conflict resolution when such situations arise.

ØDevelops policy and protocols that guide the Center's practices and ensure efficient and effective flow and performance. Identifies and deploys "best practices" whenever possible.

ØOversees all aspects of customer relations including activities designed to promote patient satisfaction and engagement.

ØLeads all provider engagement activities including practices designed to promote timely and efficient access, and provider engagement and satisfaction.

ØEstablishes and manages the operating and capital budgets of the Center. Is fluent in strategies designed to minimize the cost of operations, and optimize reimbursement though effective scheduling, charge capture and reconciliation, cash collection, and patient accounting practices.

ØDevelops and manages a reporting system designed to allow leadership to monitor operations and patient flow at all times.

ØLeads the legal and regulatory compliance functions to ensure all billing; records retention, use and security; and operations are consistent with policy and law. Leads the accreditation processes for the Center.

ØDevelops and implements a public relations and marketing strategy for the Center that promotes enhancement of the Center's reputation for high quality as well as a vital community resource.

ØDevelops expertise in technologies deployed in the Center. Constantly surveys new knowledge, scientific and technological developments, and practices in the field, and determines applicability to the Center and in the regional market.

ØActively engages in deployment of the Baptist Management System and the use of LEAN methodologies as a way of conducting routine business.

ØDeploys information technology resources in a manner to enhance effectiveness. Oversees all matters relating to confidentiality and security of data and patient information.

Requirements, Preferences and Experience

ØBachelor's Degree in Nursing, Radiologic Technology, or similar clinical or technical field is required. A degree in a business field will be considered if balanced with experience in a health care setting.

ØMaster's degree in Health Care Administration, Business Administration, Nursing Administration or Public Health (or similar field) is highly preferred.

ØThree years of progressive experience in a clinical or technical field, and three years of experience in a role with line and staff management responsibilities is required.

ØExtensive knowledge of health care trends, practice management, systems thinking, and health care compliance is required. Previous experience with LEAN methodologies is preferred.

ØDemonstrated experience in establishing collaborative partnerships with providers is required.
