Manager-Quality Improvement/Compliance Transplant - ME Transplant Services Baptist Memphis

Summary

Assures compliance with Transplant Regulatory reporting.Reviews clinical cases and abstracts data for quality and compliance reporting. Leads Transplant and MCS quality and performance improvement initiatives. Assures the integrity of data submitted to TP and MCS databases. Performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Develops/maintains the quality assessment and performance improvement (QAPI) program for Transplant and Mechanical Circulatory Support Services.
• Utilizes software applications available at the site for data collection and analysis.
• Completes entry of data into the program?s website in an accurate and timely manner while ensuring the transmission of completed data.
• Reviews weekly site accrual report on the website and responding to accrual report alerts.
• Identifies transplant and mechanical circulatory support (MCS) patients for inclusion in the program's data monitoring and reporting systems.
• Completes assigned goals.

Requirements, Preferences and Experience

Education

Preferred: MSN

Minimum: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. BSN. Licensed in state as a registered nurse.

Experience

Minimum: Minimum three (3) years? experience in inpatient nursing required. Database and clinical chart review and abstraction experience.

Licensure, Registration, Certification

Minimum: RN

Special Skills

Preferred: Database data entry and/or management experience. Statistical knowledge, and Quality improvement or patient safety knowledge and experience.

Minimum: Computer literacy. Windows desktop applications. Excellent interpersonal skills

Training

Minimum: Full understanding of CMS Conditions of Participation, UNOS bylaws and other regulatory conditions as appropriate. Applicable training for software and databases used. Completion of Quality Training as assigned.
