Serves as an administrator in the PowerFAIDS system (including NetPartner, PowerFAIDS Demo environment); identifies creative solutions and incorporates new processes to improve workflows, production, security, and the efficiency of the PowerFAIDS application system; develops reports for financial aid planning and analysis; and ensure the integrity of financial aid data and systems. The position works internally with other offices, including Information Technology, Business Services, Admissions and the Registrar's Office. Externally, this position works with third-party vendors such as Jenzabar, InfoMaker, JRM, and EDconnect to transfer and integrate data resources between platforms and systems. Serve as a functional expert on the PowerFAIDS system, leveraging the capabilities of the system to support both efficient internal business processes and maintain compliance with federal and state aid rules and regulations.Under the direction of the Director of Financial Aid.Responsible for all functions 8 hours/day, 5 days/week.Incumbents are subject to hours beyond the normal workday.Responsibilities
Configure and maintain the totality of the PowerFAIDS/PowerFAIDS Demo/Net Partner à Jenzabar à JRM environments to increase work-flow efficiency and accuracy.
Imports and builds all information needed for the accurate processing of student financial aid data, from applicant to enrolled student, implementing the batch packaging process, exchanging information between Jenzabar, JRM, EDconnect, etc. to facilitate the accurate awarding of qualified applicants.
Coordinates the institutional scholarship process for all applicants to the college; collects and interprets applicants' admissions/financial information to determine eligibility.
Creates SOPs and training materials for use of PowerFAIDS and assist with training sessions on the various technologies associated with financial aid.
Maintains familiarity with laws and regulations related to federal and state financial aid to maintain compliance.
Participates in financial aid presentations, advising and communicates with students about financial aid and scholarship eligibility.
Performs related accountabilities/responsibilities as required or directed.Requirements, Preferences and Experience EducationMinimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in information technology, business, marketing, education or related field.
Three (3) years technology experience writing queries, selection sets, building/maintaining reports.
Desired: Five (5) years or more experience in student financial aid in a college setting particularly as an administrator.
Desired: Working knowledge of PowerFAIDS, Jenzabar, Infomaker/SQL
