RN- Nurse Manager

Summary

Responsible for coordination of delivery of customer focused, efficient and quality patient care. Coordinates all available resources including but not limited to personnel, facilities and clinical resources. Collaborates with clinical and non-clinical teams to understand, communicate and manage patient flow through the departments. Coordinates with clinical teams to assure quality, timely, cost-efficient care through the department. Collaborates with physicians and staff to facilitate patient throughput.

Responsibilities

• In collaboration with the Director, develops goals and objectives to align with strategic and tactical plans of the department.
• Determines appropriate staffing levels, evaluates performance, recommends changes to improve efficiencies and ensures satisfactory service to physicians, patients and other customers.
• Standardizes services, processes, resources and practices to improve efficiencies, maximize productivity within the department and in collaboration with other departments.
• Monitors and reviews departmental performance of productivity targets.
• Identify, establish and evaluate quality assurance standards, programs and procedures within the department.

Requirements, Preferences and Experience

Experience

• Minimal Required: 3 years in acute care setting with demonstrated leadership skills

Education Bachelor's degree preferred

• Preferred/Desired:Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Business or related field of study
