Specialist-Provider Relations - HS Provider Relations Corporate

Summary

Supports Provider Relations Representatives, Data Analyst, and Director in efforts to accomplish and maintain provider network participation. Participates in all appropriate aspects of development of BHSG networks and products to ensure the network of healthcare providers meets customer quality, access, and cost requirements.

Responsibilities

• Requests BPI Numbers, reviews and processes provider applications, enters provider data in Cactus/Symplr database that pertains to provider applications, updates, terminations, and ballots as per established guidelines.
• Creates provider individual and group folders and files and maintains provider correspondence.
• Generates monthly payer flat files and reports on an as needed basis.
• Assists the department with all components of a payer messenger request and Certified Mailings.
• Communicates directly with providers, office managers, payers, and internal customers as needed. All functions require high levels of accuracy, attention to detail and confidentiality.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements, Preferences and Experience

Minimum Required Experience: 3 years customer service, office administration or managed care experience

Preferred Experience: 1 year Provider Relations and/or Credentialing experience

Minimum Required Education: High School diploma or equivalent
