Summary Supports System facilities by reviewing identified hospital acquire conditions, including but not limited to AHRQ Patient Safety Indicators (PSIs), CMS defined Hospital Acquired Conditions (HACs), and other hospital acquired complications. Serves as subject matter expert for assigned conditions and works with committees or service lines to provide data and or insight into opportunities for improvement.
Responsibilities • Drill down on PSIs identified through the work que or vendor reports.
• Drill down on HACs and complications identified by vendor reports.
• Work with CDI and Coding for corrections and queries that are needed.
• Work with committees or service lines for assigned conditions to provide data and/or insights into findings.
• Provide backup to other quality analysts.
• Attend weekly Corporate Quality Analyst Teams Meetings.
• Attend weekly PSI workgroup Teams meetings
• Attend monthly HAC workgroup Teams meetings.
• Assist with physician specific data collection to support OPPE/FPPE process.
Requirements, Preferences and Experience Experience: Minimum 3 years' experience doing clinical chart review. Preferred inpatient clinical experience.
Education: Minimum Nursing or HIM degree or higher or equivalent work experience as required for the position. Preferred BSN
Training: Knowledge of AHRQ PSI definitions. BOC chart review and work que experience. Experience using Microsoft Excel and data base tools. Understanding of medical terminology.
