Summary

The digital marketing coordinator will plan and implement digital strategies for Baptist University. Coordinates creative communications to grow the University's digital presence through unique content that appeals to our target audience. This role should have a basic understanding of SEO management, html coding, and online marketing strategies. Under the general supervision of the Director of Marketing and Alumni Affairs, responsible for 1 shift, 8 hours/day, 5 days/week.Incumbents are subject to hours beyond the normal workday.

Responsibilities

E1 Develops and executes a digital marketing strategy for BHSU in coordination with the Director of Marketing and Alumni Affairs.

E2Create, coordinate, maintain, and publish digital content for the University's digital marketing platforms.

E3Enforce brand and content standards and serve as the content ambassador to the University by encouraging and supporting ongoing engagement with the University web and social media channels.

E4Serves as the website content editor and initial and ongoing point of contact for stakeholders.

E5Explore new opportunities to expand the digital marketing footprint of the University.

E6Serves as the response team and service recovery team for social media and website contact.

E7Manage photography and videography needs of the university.

E8Performs related accountabilities/responsibilities as required or directed.

Requirements, Preferences and Experience

Minimum: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in marketing, advertising, technology, or related fields.

Minimum 1 year work/experience in the field of communications, higher education, advertising, technology or related fields.

Desired: Understanding of SEO, html coding, Drupal web content management system and marketing strategies.

3 or more years related work experience preferably in a higher education setting.
