RN-Nurse Manager

Summary

Assume 24-hour responsibility to plan, coordinate, manage, and evaluate the clinical activities of a specific nursing unit to promote quality patient care. The incumbent of this position must also regularly participate in rounding. Performs all other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate daily activities and personnel to ensure efficient and effective operation of the department.
• Cooperates with Director and medical staff to resolve problems that arise to ensure quality work and adequate patient care.
• Performs every function of the job within the area's nursing realm to provide assistance and promote the efficient operation of the department.
• Maintains a working knowledge of all area equipment, processes and future advances in the environment.
• Organizes, implements and supervises the orientation process for new staff in the department in compliance with JC standards in order to provide capable and qualified nursing personnel.

Requirements, Preferences and Experience

Education

Minimum: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited Nursing Program

Experience

Minimum: 3 Years of experience as a Registered Nurse and 2 years of Supervisory Experience

Licensure, Registration, Certification

Minimum: Registered Nurse
