Summary

Coordinate and manage revenue cycle projects to facilitate effective billing and collection processes. Use analytical skills to proactively pinpoint revenue cycle opportunities and collaborate with the revenue cycle leaders to prioritize actionable issues. Prepare and develop presentations to share analytical findings and opportunities. Develop, implement and track revenue cycle projects using tracking tools to measure the effectiveness of each project. Ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget. Keep leadership informed of key issues that may impact project completion, budget, or other results. Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for assigned Revenue Cycle projects.
  • Utilizes resources and technology; collaborating with clinical experts, IT, vendors, and hospital leaders to support best practices within the Revenue Cycle.
  • Develops, organizes and implements strategies to receive customers, bill customers, process payments, minimize bad debt, improve cash flow and manage the overall health of the company's receivables.
  • Monitors revenue cycle performance to meet short term strategic goals.
  • Provide analysis of guidelines, policies, procedures and work processes.
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time and with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Use and continually develop leadership skills.
  • Attend conferences and training as required to maintain proficiency.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.


Requirements, Preferences and Experience

Education

  • Minimum: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.


Experience

  • Seven or more years in a leadership role in a health care setting.
  • Preferred: Leadership experience in a hospital revenue cycle using Epic.


Skills/Training

  • Problem solving, communication skills, creative thinking, resource management, analytical thinking, delegation and follow up skills, interpersonal skills, listening skills, organizational and presentation skills, problem solving skills, motivational skills, interviewing skills, and the ability to set measurable goals and monitor outcomes.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Superb verbal, written, and customer service skills.
