The Associate Registrar facilitates the daily operations for the BUCOM in collaboration with the University Office of the Registrar.Serves as a liaison to other Academic Divisions for registration and matriculation of medical student processes and events.Responsible for the security and management of medical student academic records. Coordinates the BUCOM Academic Catalog and drafts the BUCOM Academic Calendar. Serves as the FERPA compliance officer for BUCOM. May be asked to attend meetings or events as the University Registrar's proxy or acts in the Registrar's role when the registrar is not present or so designates. Under the general supervision of the Assistant Dean for Administration, Operations, and Services, incumbent is responsible for one shift, 8 hours a day, 5 days a week and is subject to hours beyond the normal workday.Responsibilities
1.Manages and maintains medical student academic records ensuring accuracy, integrity, and security of those records in compliance with FERPA and University policies.
2.Facilitates the daily operations of the BUCOM.
3.Serves as a liaison to other Academic Divisions for registration and matriculation of medical student processes and events.
4.Serves as the primary compliance officer for Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA) for BUCOM.
5.Performs related accountabilities/responsibilities as required or directed.Requirements, Preferences and Experience
Master's Degree Master's Degree in student personnel, counseling, business or related field or equivalent experience.
Five (5) years of progressive experience in the field of administering and maintaining student records in compliance with university policies, processes and other federal/state and regulatory agencies in a higher education setting.About Baptist Memorial Health Care
