Summary Exclusively designed for the Allied Health professional with at least a 2 year degree and enrolled in the AHIMA Cancer Information Management Certificate Program. Credentialling (CTR) must be obtained within 18 months of commencement of program. Performs casefinding, abstractiing, and patient follow-up while demonstrating incremental knowledge in cancer coding principles using FORDS, ICD-O, Collaborative Staging, Multiple Primary & Histology Coding Rules, AJCC Staging, and State cancer reporting guidelines. Must meet the Baptist Tumor Registry incremental competency timeframe. Must demonstrate attention to de tail, possess organizational skills, multi-tasking abilities, time management skills, and has strong verbal and written communication skills. Performs other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities - Versed in State cancer reporting and American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer Cancer Program Standards and cancer reporting standards.

Requirements, Preferences and Experience Education Preferred: RHIT, RHIA or cancer-related allied health field preferred.
Minimum: At least a 2 year degree in an Allied Health field and enrollment in an NCRA-Accredited Formal Education Program.
Experience Preferred: RHIT, RHIA or cancer-related allied health field preferred.
Minimum: At least 6 months experience in an Allied Health field.
Licensure, Registration, Certification Preferred: RHIA;RHIT
Special Skills Preferred: Understanding of medical coding a plus.
Minimum: Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Power Point.
Training Minimum: Strong command of medical terminology and anatomy.
