This is a replacement position, not an additional FTE. We have a tech performing in the lead role; however, the position turned over since the transition to BOT. The former lead was performing the clock in for Supervisory Diff. That is no longer an option, so the position has to be added to the department. Performs imaging procedures/treatments according to radiology practice standards in order to aid in the diagnosis and/or treatment of disease. Performs other duties as assigned.


  • Organizes and coordinates daily operational functions and work flow to ensure the performance of high quality exams/treatments and the delivery of safe patient care and customer satisfaction.
  • Demonstrates a thorough understanding of Radiologic principals/theory and utilizes the most appropriate technique and positioning for optimal procedures/treatments, as demonstrated by procedure/treatment results.
  • Develops appropriate procedure/treatment plan.
  • Implements procedure/treatment plan utilizing established hospital protocols/guidelines.
  • Completes documentation as required to comply with hospital policies and procedures.
  • Maintains equipment, procedure/treatment rooms, and work areas in a neat and safe condition to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
  • Participates in hospital and departmental Performance Improvement activities to ensure that patient care is consistent with established standards.
  • Coordinates staff schedules to insure departments are adequately staffed for expected work levels.
  • Completes assigned goals.

Requirements, Preferences and Experience


Minimum: Registered by Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Nuclear ARRT(N). Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire date.


Minimum: 6 months experience in an acute care setting or comparable specialty area as required to meet all Lead competencies at the end of orientation period.
