The Administrative Navigator for the Cardiovascular Center of Excellence will work with other members of the BMG Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery clinic, as well as our partners at Stern Cardiovascular, to provide patient services and is expected to participate in the appropriate team activities with the objective of providing a high standard of patient and clinical service. The Administrative Navigator is responsible for the success of the Cardiovascular Center of Excellence patient's visits to both BMG Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery and Stern Cardiovascular providing concierge service to create an outstanding patient experience. This role is responsible for the overall logistics of the Cardiovascular Center of Excellence patient's visit to the clinics, including facilitating the registration process, expediting the clinic visit, and coordinating travel agendas for out of state patients. In addition, the Administrative Navigator may be asked help with Front Desk responsibilities as a Customer Service Coordinator as needed.

Responsibilities - Contact patient to confirm appointment details and provide information regarding what to expect during each encounter
- Ensure patient knows how to complete pre-registration documents
- Complete registration of the patient in the appropriate EMR including demographics, insurance, and scheduling; register patient in third-party administrator portal and update portal information as needed
- Expedite on-site testing and/or physical therapy, as well as facilitate the scheduling of future appointments and services
- Conduct post-procedure calls to patient to confirm satisfaction, answer questions, and confirm future appointments
- Maintain availability to be contacted outside of normal business hours to assist with logistics issues and answer patient's questions; answer designated clinic phone calls
- Communicate with internal and external Cardiovascular Center of Excellence contacts regarding patient visit details
- Coordinate transportation and hotel services for out-of-town patient and hotel and transportation services as needed; verify travel information and accommodation needs; ensure transportation is available to and from appointments; know patent's location from point of arrival into and departure from Memphis
- Assist with Front Desk responsibilities as a Customer Service Coordinator as available and/or needed
- Provide excellent customer service by interacting with patients, guests, colleagues, and physicians in a professional, timely and pleasant manner
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements, Preferences and Experience EDUCATION- High school diploma or equivalent (Minimum)
- Bachelor's degree in a business or healthcare related field (Preferred)
EXPERIENCE- Two (2) years' experience in a position that included logistics and scheduling (Minimum)
- Experience in a healthcare environment (Minimum)
- Demonstrated success of providing outstanding customer service (Minimum)
- Experience providing concierge/boutique level customer service (Preferred)
