Supervisor - Phlebotomy - NM Path General BMH North MS

Summary

The Phlebotomy Supervisor is working supervisor that leads a phlebotomy team to ensure all operational goals are met.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate activities on all shifts for phlebotomist personnel to include training, continuing education, safety and infection control guidelines, scheduling, counseling, productivity monitoring and performance appraisals.
• Assists with recruitment and retention, ordering supplies, storeroom organization, and inventory management.
• Works directly with the phlebotomy team to make sure that Laboratory turn-around-time(TAT) goal expectations are achieved consistently.

Requirements, Preferences and Experience

Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED with at least two(2) years of phlebotomy experience in a hospital environment

Desired Qualifications: AS or BS degree with at least five(5) years of phlebotomy experience in a hospital environment
