Summary The Systems Manager for IT Academic Systems will manage all academic systems for the newly created BUCOM as well as the university
Responsibilities • Manage primary Academic Systems, such as LMS, Lecture Capture, Video Conferencing and support the successful delivery of academic curriculums
• Collect & compile requirements for new projects or additional functionality, design concepts, and implement solutions
• Collect and map information & data flows to recommend integrations for system efficiency
• Collect and analyze usage data to inform return on investment from academic systems
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Requirements, Preferences and Experience • Bachelor's degree required in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Educational Technology or closely related field
• Master's degree preferred in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Educational Technology or closely related field
• 1-3 years directly applicable experience and/or 3-5 years related experience
• LMS, Databases, User Interfaces, Web Development, Cloud Applications, Instructional Design, Educational Learning Theory
• Servers, Enterprise Applications, Computer Networks, Microsoft and Apple Operating Systems
• Canvas or other LMS certification, Project Management, ITIL, preferred
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, oral and written communication skills are required
• Experience with Academic Systems, Databases, Cloud Applications, Microsoft and Apple hardware and software, and Enterprise Applications
• Excellent troubleshooting skills in an integrated systems environment
• Job position requires the incumbent to continue professional development through workshops, conferences, certifications and/or other materials in the field
