Summary

The Director of Assessment and Accreditation leads the College of Osteopathic Medicine in a continuous quality improvement (CQI) process aimed at maintaining accreditation and ensuring the institution's commitment to providing high-quality education. Designs, directs, and supports academic and administrative program reviews and related activities that demonstrate institutional effectiveness. Coordinates with Baptist Health Sciences University for COCA (Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation) assessment reporting.

Responsibilities

1.Lead accreditation and Continuing Quality Improvement (CQI) for the College of Osteopathic Medicine (COM), which involves: collaboratively setting and executing on long- and short-term team goals and accreditation standards and elements while being timely and consistent management of assigned projects.
Supervision and guidance of academic administration(s) and project coordinator(s) in the accreditation and CQI teams. Works collaboratively with other departments and offices at the College of Osteopathic Medicine and the University, including external consultants and related resources. Assists the Associate, Assistant, Senior Associate Deans, and the Dean in setting and executing strategic initiatives for the COM.

2.Oversees the effectiveness and execution of COM's CQI plan, directing the collection, assessment, synthesis, and interpretation of pertinent data. Responsible for prioritizing and facilitating initiatives that drive innovative approaches to meet QI goals.

3.Prepares and present accreditation and CQI reports to the Dean's Council, committees, and other departments and offices at the COM, and the university, as requested.

4.Maintains expertise in evolving accreditation requirements, ensuring compliance is documented and processed in accordance with established timelines and policy.

5.Develops and deliver training or briefing materials and serve on various educational and other school governance committees, providing internal consulting on COCA/CQI-related matters as they arise.

6.Ensures timely submission of data requests from the COM in support of regional accreditation processes, and from the COM to the University for national accreditation.

7.Provides oversight for any ongoing required communications, reporting, and corrective action plans emanating from the COCA accreditation processes.

8.Supervises, lead, train, and monitoring the activities of assigned staff.

9.Additional duties as assigned.

Requirements, Preferences and Experience

Bachelor's degree in related field

At least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified
