Responsible for assisting and supporting of the management of Supply operations and personnel, for the development and implementation of Supply chain policies and procedures for procurement and distribution of medical supplies and equipment for patients and employees under the general supervision of the Director of Materials management, responsible for the supervision of the Materials personnel, operational decisions and departmental guidance.


Job Responsibilities
• Monitors supply needs of customers and assists in developing improvement plans with measurable goals to enhance services.
• Contributes to a positive work environment and overall team effort of the Department.
• Assists in maintaining perpetual Inventory of supplies and equipment used in patient care.
• Assists withoverall operation of materials management departments and works with staff and customers to enhance efficiency and quality of service.
• Assists with/develops and monitors quality assurance procedures, conducts audits and maintains documentation.
• Assists Director of Materials Management with overall financial/budgetary management of the department through analysis of departmental operations and identifies opportunities for cost reduction.
• Communicates and interacts with staff and key customers to improve customer satisfaction.
• Performs related accountabilities/responsibilities as required or directed.
• Participates in assigned committees/functions as required by the Hospital
• Responsible for supply chain logistics of stock and non-stock supply items, act as liaison between hospital, vendors and corporate purchasing

Requirements, Preferences and Experience



Minimum Required


Bachelor's Degree in business or related field

M.S./M.B.A. with 4 years' experience. B.S. with 6 years' experience.
