Summary This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of Supply Chain, from developing system-wide agreements, to managing supplier relationships.
This role oversees a team that is located throughout the organization in different facility locations.
ResponsibilitiesDevelop system-wide agreements and contracts for supplies, equipment, services, food, pharmaceuticals, distribution, and GPO's.
Manage supplier relationships, including the development and administration of system-wide policy/procedure governing supplier business relationships.
Working in collaboration with clinical leadership, analyze supply categories and supplier market share to assess potential product standardization opportunities and consolidation of vendor base.
Maintain systems to show status of contracts and other cost reduction initiatives from start to finish for internal reporting.
Optimize benefit and capabilities of current systems to report and analyze data, provide operational efficiencies, control cost, and promote development of new systems with greater capabilities.
Evaluate the functionality and performance of proposed materials management information systems, and make selection recommendations
Evaluate functionality and performance of proposed O.R. Management Systems, and other related
Monitor and report on system-wide supply cost and comparison to budget and historical data.
Identifying areas of opportunity to concentrate supply cost reduction and standardization efforts.
Developing tools/controls to monitor the proper price administration for BMHC contracts.
Monitor and report on contract utilization among facilities to optimize product standardization and projected savings.
Prepare quarterly benchmark metrics to ensure program efficiencies.
Work closely with suppliers, clinical leadership, and Materials Management to effectively communicate and implement new contracts and product standardization efforts
Establish strategic plans for all Supply Chain areas and functions.
Work closely with Market CEO's, Market CFO's, and System clinical leadership to initiate system-wide or market-focused cost reduction projects, utilization management projects, or operational improvement projects.
Manage day to day operations for BMHC Corporate Campus Materials Services (Purchasing and Receiving)
Requirements, Preferences and Experience - Bachelor's degree required
- 7-10 or more years of supply chain clinical experience required
- 5-7 or more years of leadership experience required
- Previous experience in Health Systems Finance, Operations or Decision Support Analytics areas.
- Experience leading cross-functional, matrix teams
- PMP/Lean certification preferred
- Experience with ERP systems, preferably with a cloud-based system.
