Summary Serves as an administrator in medical education platforms supporting curriculum for medical students. Coordinates with course directors and faculty to ensure appropriate course content, communication, exam information, and data is sufficient to meet curriculum requirements to achieve learning objectives. Interacts with Core Clinical Site Directors, preceptors, and Core Site Medical Education Specialists to facilitate scheduling of clinical rotations and end of rotation exams, credentialing of preceptors, and facilitation of end of rotation evaluations by both student and preceptor. Develops reports for curriculum planning and analysis and ensures the integrity of data required to analyze student performance/progress and faculty effectiveness. Identifies creative solutions and incorporates new processes to improve workflows, production, security, and efficiency. The position works internally with other offices, including Information Technology, Registrar's Office, and coordinates with all divisions of the College of Osteopathic Medicine. Externally, this position may interface with third-party educational platform vendors and others to transfer and integrate data resources between platforms and systems. Serves as a functional expert of medical education, leveraging the capabilities of technology systems to support both efficient internal business processes and maintain compliance with educational accreditation rules and regulations. Under the direction of the Regional Clinical Site Director. The incumbent is expected to work a standard schedule of five days per week, Monday through Friday, with the possibility of weekend work for special occasions or as needed.
Responsibilities 1.Configure and maintain educational platforms to increase workflow and accuracy.
2.Input calendars, rotation schedules, learning objectives and other materials to the learning management systems by designated deadlines.
3.Coordinate with Core Clinical site Directors, Core Site Medical Education Specialists, and preceptors to facilitate scheduling, credentialing, testing and evaluation activities related to clinical education during OMS 3 and 4.
4.Import and categorize information needed for curriculum delivery, exams and schedules.
5.Coordinate student and faculty curricular events, including appropriately communicating with groups as needed by email or other means.
6.Analyze data and develop reports for committee meetings.
7.Develop reports and analysis of student performance for Division of Clinical Affairs.
8.Collaborate on standard operating procedure (SOP) and training material development for course directors and faculty.
9.Assist with residency match activities and other College of Osteopathic Medicine functions and events.
10.Coordinate guest lectures and relevant events supporting this role in medical education.
11.Perform related accountabilities/responsibilities as required or directed.
Requirements, Preferences and Experience Bachelor's degree in healthcare, educational technology, or higher education.
Two years of experience in an academic or other relevant professional school setting.
