Technician-Emergency Department - CAH LK Emergency Room

Overview

Summary

To assist the nursing staff in gathering patient information necessary for creating a patient encounter in the EHR. To assist in areas such as cleaning rooms, patient transport, order supplies and clerical tasks. Performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Registers Emergency Room patients.

• Assist nursing staff
• Maintains and stocks unit supplies
• Assist with efficient turnover of patient ER rooms
• Participates in activities designed to improve health care delivery.
• Completes assigned goals.

Requirements, Preferences and Experience

Education

 Minimum:  High School Diploma or Equivalent

Experience

 Preferred:  1 year of medical field experience or currently enrolled in nursing school

Licensure, Registration, Certification

 Minimum:  CPR certified within 90 days of employment
