Job Summary

Handles phone calls in a prompt and courteous manner. Assists staff, patients, providers, and general public in providing information, directions, and routes calls to appropriate departments. Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Responsibilities

• Serve as the central call center for all NEA Baptist clinics by answering, transferring and taking messages for incoming and internal calls.
• Assist patients, visitors and callers by providing directions as needed. Looks up information and numbers.
• Sort letters and type envelopes. Run lists for reminder cards.
• Maintains sign-in book and visitor badges.
• Assist patients with finding the appropriate provider and location that best suits their needs.
• Page overhead codes/incidences and alerts ambulance statuses.
• Contacts departments and maintains call schedules and provider schedules.
• Maintains updated call lists.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
