Overview

Job Summary

Seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to be responsible for the month-end close process and perform Bank and GL account reconciliations. This role will support various aspects of finance and accounting and requires solid accounting experience with strong analytical skills 

Responsibilities

• Creates and performs analysis on financial and operational data.
• Reconcile various bank accounts to general ledger.
• Primary financial resource for ancillary Baptist entities.
• Assist as needed with annual audit, tax filings, and special projects.
• Provide assistance to the Corporate Finance team as needed with its ongoing financial activities.
• Demonstrates an ability to evaluate and maintain the proper level of data integrity within the data warehouses of all available financial information systems.
• Demonstrates computer proficiency with all System financial information systems including core transaction systems, decision support system, data warehouse and PC Financial Application tools to complete internal and external work products.
• Displays professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Completes assigned goals.

Specifications

Experience

Minimum Required

Preferred/Desired

• 3 to 5 years experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Enterprise Reporting System Oracle
• Working knowledge in Microsoft Office applications

Education

Minimum Required

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting or equivalent experience.

• Master's Degree.
