Coordinator-LPN - JS Radiation Oncology MBMC

Summary

Provides in-office support to clinical staff by coordinating the patient intake process and accepting and documenting physician orders. Collaborates with referral sources and others to ensure quality patient care. Performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Facilitaties effective patient intake process by accepting and processing referral informatiuon in a timely and efficient manner.
• Functions as liaison between Home Health and Hospice and physicians, hospital, and other referral sources.
• Accepts and documents physician orders and communicates pertinent information with clinical staff and others as appropriate.
• Monitors and coordinates orders activity to ensure physician orders are signed and returned in a timely manner, in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Completes all assigned goals.

Requirements, Preferences and Experience

Education

Minimum: Graduate of an approved Licensed Practical Nurse program.

Experience

Minimum: 1 year of nursing experience in the last 3 years.

Licensure, Registration, Certification

Minimum: LPN
