Supervisor-Radiology - Rad-CT Free Standing ER BMH Arlington

Summary

Provides oversight for all operations of the department. Develops and implements technical policies and procedures to ensure efficiency and quality. Ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements. Responsible for supervising technologist and performs direct patient care as a technologist as necessary amongst administrative duties. This position includes, but not limited to, responsibility for radiation safety, quality control, equipment maintenance, patient satisfaction, scheduling patients, and adherence to all applicable governing guidelines and standards. Supervisor is responsible for employee time keeping, schedules and performance evaluations. Under the general direction of the Manager, the incumbent is responsible for daily operations in assigned area 24 hours/day, 7 days/week. Subject to overtime and call back as required by the hospital.

Responsibilities

Assesses, plans for, implements use of, and evaluates services and equipment to meet the needs of the customer and enhance the department's contribution to overall facility outcomes.

Manages operational functions through scheduling and evaluation of personnel, acquisition of supplies, organization of clinical activities, and communication within the department and with all services in order to deliver efficient and accurate care to patients and support the goals of the facility.

Administers performance improvement activities to ensure quality is consistent with established standards.

Provides and supports learning needs through direction of educational activities that promote continuous improvement and compliance with patient care standards.

Requirements, Preferences and Experience

Education

Preferred: Bachelor's Degree

Minimum: Graduate of an accredited Radiology/Imaging program.

Experience

Minimum: Technical/Clinical supervising skills as acquired through 3 years in a progressive technical/clinical environment or supervisory capacity in radiology/imaging.

Licensure, Registration, Certification

Minimum: Registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or American Registered Diagnostic Sonographer (ARDMS), or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB). BLS certification within 14 days of hire. ACLS certification if required by department
